Jui Residences is a freehold development located at Serangoon Road by Malaysia developer Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB). The bid for the land was submitted by Tiara Land which is a unit of Champsworth Development. There were a number of bids received for the development and Selangor Dredging managed to secure the land at $47 million. An estimated $22.6 million in additional payments to the government is to be made to change the zoning of the land to residential from industrial. Based on estimated figures, the plot of land could yield an estimated 117 freehold units near the Kallang River. Champsworth Development is a 50% owned associate company of its subsidiary SDB International.

National Aerated Water Company Building to Be Gazetted
The main building of the National Aerated Water Company will also be preserved and conserved as a heritage building under the directive of the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). Talks are underway with the developer Selangor Dredging Berhad on how to preserve the building to be part of the new condo development Jui Residences that will form part of the development. The former bottling company had used the building to make bottled drinks such as Sinalco and Kickapoo Joy Juice when bottled drinks were still popular in the 1900s. However, this has soon be taken off as can drinks have taken over the industry and the building has ceased operations. This is part of URA Plans to keep the building as part of Singapore’s history and Jui Residences will not have a fence around the building so that the public can still get up close to remember this part of Singapore’s history.
